Come join our dental team at Seldovia Village Tribe (SVT).
Hours: Full-time, 4 days per week (Mon-Thu), 37.5 hours per week position.
Salary Range: $20 to $28 per hour, depending on experience

What You'll Do:
Provide a range of clinical, administrative and staff-support functions.
Provide chair-side assistance to the Dental Director and Dental Hygienist in the delivery of dental procedures.
Organize, sterilize, date and prepare dental equipment according to standard procedures.
Monitor and maintain dental equipment (including but not limited to compressors, radiographic developers, sterilizers and curing lights.)
Order and maintain inventory of dental clinic supplies.
Maintain clean, organized and stocked operatory, laboratory, and reception area of dental clinic.
Be able to travel as required on a quarterly basis to other communities including to and from Seldovia by small airplane and sometimes by boat when airplanes are on weather hold.
What You'll Need:
Preferred but not required: Knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques
Preferred but not required: Familiarity with dental protocols, procedures and terminology.
Interpersonal skills a must; ability to communicate in a professional manner, in both verbal and written form, to patients and coworkers.
Ability to anticipate and respond to patient needs; follows up until needs are met. Ability to build rapport with patients.
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to change. Must adapt to changes in schedule, remain organized, manage time and stress, and multitask. Position is in a fast-paced work environment.
Proficiency in Mac, PC, and Microsoft Office Products, required. Experience using Electronic Health Records is a plus.
BLS/First Aid Required – Provided by SVT
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and a pre-employment background check including fingerprinting.

Wellness Incentive Program, up to $300 per calendar year for full-time employees, or $150 for part-time employees, effective after 90 days of employment. Examples of items that can be reimbursed are walking/running shoes, active wear, exercise equipment, gym membership, CSA food boxes and more!
