Mountain Community Health Partnership (MCHP) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Dental Assistant to support our Dental team in providing high-quality preventive and restorative care. This role includes chairside assisting, radiology, sterilization, patient education, front-desk support as needed, and assisting with public health-focused dental outreach. The Dental Assistant will work under the direction of the Dental Director and collaborate closely with our clinical and administrative staff across all sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for dental exams and procedures, including medical history review and vital signs.
Perform chairside assisting for routine care, preventive services, and treatment procedures.
Expose and develop radiographs following standard protocols.
Inventory, order, and stock supplies as directed.
Document operative notes, charges, and appointments; maintain accurate patient records.
Assist the Hygienist as needed.
Provide patient education, including oral hygiene instructions.
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of a Dental Assistant program from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required radiology and coronal polishing certifications as applicable.
Experience: One year of on-the job training preferred. Strong knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and materials. Strong communication and organizational skills.
