We are seeking a talented and dedicated Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Baghdad, Iraq. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist in the preparation and service of high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency.

• Assist the Chef de Partie in the daily operations of the assigned kitchen section
• Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to recipes and established standards
• Ensure proper food storage, rotation, and labeling of all food items
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service
• Participate in menu planning and development of new dishes
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, including commis chefs and apprentices
• Assist in inventory management and cost control measures
• Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Contribute to the overall success of the culinary team by maintaining high standards of quality and consistency

 

• Proven experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and culinary trends
• Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work on a rotating schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a positive attitude and leadership potential
• Experience in a luxury hotel environment is preferred
