As Demand Planner, you will play an important role in the supply chain as owner of the S&OP process for the company and be part of a great supply chain team. You will be the first point of contact for your sales colleagues and will be responsible to deliver outstanding service to our valuable customers as well as best in class forecast accuracy.
The Demand Planner acts as business partner for Marketing, Sales, Finance and Trade Category Management. The purpose of this role is to manage short- and long-term forecasting, including the management of the supply chain part of new project (innovations/switches/delisting).
Key Accountabilities:
Planning:
• Lead Sales and Operation planning process
• Manage the demand plan across multiple categories and brands in our markets
• Responsible for KPI’s as Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, Dispatch Rate and Obsoletes.
• Managing appropriate stock levels, driven by forecast improvements.
Innovation / relaunches:
• Represent MSO Supply Chain in Innovation project/ launch meetings for Go to market.
• Translate the innovation forecast for the full horizon (0-24 months) in IBP.
• Check feasibility of timings and production capacity of innovations and relaunches.
• Translate phasing in and out plan in the planning system in cooperation with the Supply Chain Operations and Customer teams.
Business Partnering:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with Sales, Trade Category Management, Marketing, and Finance business partners for forecast optimization purposes and perfect execution of product launches.
• Understanding of the emotion of the business in order to communicate and distribute the correct information to the business.
Obsoletes management:
• Provide transparency about potential risks and obsolete (all portfolio, with a focus on innovations, delisting’s and relaunches).
• Focus on prevention and solving of obsoletes (including approval of the business).
• Represent Supply Chain with respect to obsolete related topics.
• Lead Traders/Donations & Destruction discussions with different stakeholders
So, what does it take to be successful in this role?
With a minimum of three years of supply chain experience - ideally within the FMCG industry - you bring strong expertise to the role. You communicate confidently in both English and Spanish, navigating the nuances that often arise between levels, cultures, and functions. As a Demand Planner, you work in a structured and organized way, enjoying lists, checks, and analytical problem‑solving. You are passionate about building and strengthening cross‑country and cross‑functional relationships within an energizing multinational environment. Solid knowledge of demand planning processes and systems such as SAP, APO, IBP, Excel, and Power BI is essential for success in this position.
