Job Description
About the Team
Digital Business Services (DBS) sits within KPMG’s broader Technology Consulting practice, a group recognised for delivering business-led, digitally enabled transformation through advanced digital, data, AI, engineering, and cloud capabilities. Our teams work across complex environments to design, build, and implement technology solutions that help organisations achieve strategic outcomes.
Within this environment, DBS acts as a multi-disciplinary digital delivery engine—bringing together product, engineering, architecture, cyber, data, DevOps, and platform teams to deliver high-quality, resilient, and scalable digital services for the firm and our clients.
You’ll join a supportive, growth-oriented team that values transparency, collaboration, continuous improvement, and a culture where people feel empowered to deliver their best work.
Your Opportunity
As a Delivery Manager, you will play a critical role in orchestrating the end‑to‑end delivery of a diverse portfolio of digital initiatives. You will drive clarity, alignment, and predictable execution across multiple squads and workstreams, enabling teams to ship value reliably and sustainably.
You will work closely with product, engineering, architecture, cyber, platform, and operational groups to ensure seamless flow, strong risk management, informed decision‑making, and operational readiness across the portfolio.
This role will suit someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys enabling teams, and brings a steady, structured approach to delivery leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio-Level Delivery Leadership
• Translate DBS strategic objectives into clear delivery roadmaps, quarterly/PI plans, and measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate sequencing, prioritisation, and capacity across development teams.
• Provide transparent forecasting and portfolio-level performance visibility.
Multi-Team Orchestration & Flow
• Manage cross-team dependencies including product, platform, data, integration, and cyber.
• Collaborate with Architecture, DevOps, SecOps, and shared services to resolve flow blockers.
• Facilitate release planning, environment readiness, and change governance.
Governance, Reporting & Financials
• Establish lightweight, effective delivery governance across the portfolio.
• Maintain RAID logs, KPIs, benefits tracking, and executive dashboards.
• Manage budgets, vendor engagements, SOWs, and delivery forecasting.
Risk, Quality & Operational Readiness
• Identify and mitigate risks proactively across squads and programs.
• Ensure NFRs, compliance, security, and operational requirements are embedded early.
• Oversee release readiness and transition into operational/BAU teams.
People Leadership & Team Uplift
• Foster a transparent, high‑performing delivery culture grounded in continuous improvement.
• Champion engineering and delivery excellence, uplifting ways of working and team capability.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
• Provide clear, data‑driven delivery updates to leadership forums.
• Create alignment and clarity across diverse stakeholder groups.
Experience
We’d love to hear from you if you have experience in:
• Leading delivery across complex, multi-team technology environments (e.g., digital products, platforms, engineering, data, cloud).
• Managing cross-functional dependencies and enabling flow across multiple squads.
• Applying modern delivery practices (Agile, Lean, DevOps-aligned ways of working).
• Establishing governance, reporting frameworks, and portfolio-level visibility.
• Navigating delivery risks, security considerations, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and communicating with clarity and confidence.
• Fostering positive team cultures with a focus on psychological safety, continuous improvement, and shared ownership

•  Relevant tertiary qualifications in technology, engineering, business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications in Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or program/portfolio delivery are welcome but not essential.
