We are currently seeking a talented Delivery Lead to join our team at BASF's Agricultural Solutions department Digital Factory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of technology projects within our organization. This includes managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
Emphasis on experience with data platform and analytics, the ideal candidate should have a strong background in data management, data warehousing, and analytics.
Experience managing complex data projects, including data integration, data migration, and data modeling. In addition, the candidate should be familiar with data governance, data quality, and data security.
Manage a team of data engineers, data analysts, and other IT professionals, and work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements. They should also be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
Take ownership of providing technical expertise, consultation, and guidance to the Product Team.
Understand the technical requirements of deliverables and ensure the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including developed code, stored in Azure DevOps.
Support the Product Team with technical troubleshooting for the smooth implementation and maintenance of the solution, collaborating with the development team.
Collect feedback, address impediments, and advocate for process improvement, teamwork, and adherence to APB/I's ways of working to drive continuous improvement.
Facilitate productive team meetings, fostering equal participation through open communication to promote collaboration and innovation, align new requirements with team capacity, priorities, and report team performance to stakeholders and provide mentorship and guidance to ensure successful implementation, offering training or coaching for enhanced collaboration.
Other responsibilities may include developing project plans and schedules, managing project budgets and resources, identifying and mitigating project risks, and ensuring that projects are delivered according to established standards and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
Education and certifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) are preferred.
Project Management Experience:
Varied and extensive experience in project management, with a focus on Agile methodologies.
Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting stakeholder expectations.
Experience managing complex projects related to data platform and analytics, including data integration, data migration, and data modeling.
Agile Methodologies:
In-depth knowledge and experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
Ability to lead Agile teams, facilitate Agile ceremonies, and ensure adherence to Agile principles and practices.
Strong understanding of Agile project management tools and techniques, such as user stories, backlog management, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
MORE REQUIREMENTS
Data Platform and analytics:
Extensive experience working with data platforms and analytics tools such as data warehouses, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data visualization tools.
Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
Familiarity with analytics methodologies and techniques, including data mining, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
Leadership and communication skills:
Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and senior management.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project requirements.
Continuous improvement Mindset:
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and improvement, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Agile methodologies and data platform analytics.
Ability to identify areas for process improvement, implement Agile practices, and mentor team members in Agile principles.
