Delivery Associate - Walker

Shifts range between 8-10 hours per day and shifts are available 7 days per week.  You can plan on working about 4-5 days a week.  Must be flexible.  Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Main Purpose of Job: This is a key customer-facing role, reliably and respectfully representing the company, ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and passionate about satisfying clients.  The Delivery Associate - Walker, as a field representative of the company, must be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with excellent experience, every time. The Delivery Associate - Walker deliver parcels to customer instructions up to 50 pounds, safely, and efficiently to designated locations within Queens within a set timeframe.

Essential Job  Responsibilities:

Load hand trucks and deliver packages (up to 50 lbs) by foot in all weather conditions, efficiently, safely, and punctually

Follow strict safety standards and practices throughout all delivery stages from package pickup, transport, and delivery

Operate an electronic device/mobile phone for GPS and daily records of deliveries using apps

Contact the customers, when necessary, in order to deliver their packages in a safe location and follow their direction

Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner

You can expect to report to one of several Anchor Points to pick up your first route and then meet at 2 additional anchor points timely 

We provide on-the-job training so that all of our employees feel confident on the streets and the doorsteps of customers.

Role  Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older

Must be able to read and speak English, for safety reasons

Have a valid, non-expired State ID or Driver’s License (New York City cards are NOT acceptable)

Must be physically capable of moving boxes up to 50 lbs. and push a large hand cart throughout the streets of Queens, with or without reasonable accommodation

Consent to a drug test.

Familiarity with a smart phone as you will need to communicate constantly with your driver/dispatchers and use digital apps for delivering packages

Have a positive, can-do attitude and be a team player. Come to work on time and be respectful towards your managers and team members

Must be willing to work on holidays and weekends, when needed.
