Deja tu Huella - Marketing& Medical Non Malignant Hematology Intern
What do we offer?
To be part of a new cohort of the Roche-CEU San Pablo postgraduate degree as an expert in the Pharmaceutical Industry. 11 months of internships at Roche where you will participate in challenging projects and benefit from pioneering postgraduate training in the market about the pharmaceutical industry.
You will have the opportunity to get on-the-job training by working on key projects with your designated department from Monday to Thursday and attend in person postgraduate classes at the university on Friday.
Our main location is Madrid, we are open to applications from all over Spain but relocation will be needed as part of the program expectations. Office attendance is expected (with some flexibility) to enjoy the connection to our colleagues, network and get exposure.
Last but not least, you will have mentorship by a Roche tutor who will give you continuous feedback to develop your professional skills. The mentors for the program are Roche’s senior and experienced young talent development professionals.

What are the main responsibilities of a Medical& Commercial Strategy intern?
This internship offers a unique 360º experience within the Hematology and Rare Diseases area, combining exposure to both Medical Affairs and Commercial Strategy activities across innovative therapies.
The internship is structured into two complementary six-month rotations designed to provide progressive learning and real business impact.
Phase 1 – Medical Affairs Team
During the first phase, the intern will join the Medical team, focusing on building a strong scientific understanding of Hemophilia and Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH), as well as the therapies and clinical development strategies within these areas.
Main responsibilities include:
Supporting scientific literature reviews and updates of scientific databases related to Hemophilia and other non-malignant hematological diseases.
Assisting in the preparation and review of scientific presentations and medical materials for internal teams.
Providing logistical and content support for Advisory Boards, symposiums, and continuous medical education meetings.
Collaborating in the collection and analysis of Medical Insights to better understand unmet needs from patients and healthcare professionals.
Supporting Medical Affairs activities and scientific discussions related to pipeline molecules and clinical trials.
Participating in internal meetings, training sessions, and cross-functional projects within the Squad.
Phase 2 – Commercial Strategy& Marketing Team
During the second phase, the intern will transition into the Commercial team, applying the acquired scientific knowledge to business strategy, product positioning, and market defense initiatives focused on Hemlibra and PiaSky.
Main responsibilities include:
Supporting the execution of product strategies aligned with business objectives and field implementation plans.
Collaborating in tactical activities and follow-up initiatives to ensure proper execution in the field.
Monitoring Roche’s market positioning and competitor activities through internal insights and market research analysis.
Supporting budget tracking and ensuring alignment with agreed financial plans.
Participating in the creation, review, approval, and distribution of omnichannel marketing campaigns and promotional materials through internal compliance processes.
Supporting KPI monitoring, commercial performance analysis, and evaluation of campaign impact.
Collaborating cross-functionally with external agencies and internal teams such as Market Access, Regulatory, and Sales.
Supporting competitive intelligence initiatives and strategic market defense activities against emerging competitors.
Throughout the internship, the intern will also:
Participate actively in Squad ceremonies, agile dynamics, and project follow-up activities.
Collaborate closely with Medical Managers, MSLs, Product Managers, PJPs, and Strategy teams.
Contribute ideas and identify synergies with other therapeutic areas and franchises within Roche.
Gain exposure to agile methodologies, patient-centered decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration models.
What are we looking for in this position?
Recent graduates or university students who will obtain their degree in the summer, preferably in Healthcare Sciences such as Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biology, Medicine, Biochemistry, or related fields.
Additional education or interest in Pharmaceutical Marketing, Medical Affairs, or Business Strategy will be highly valued.
We are looking for proactive, analytical, and adaptable candidates with strong scientific curiosity and interest in combining medical knowledge with strategic business thinking.
Desired skills and qualifications include:
Strong scientific background and interest in clinical development and innovative therapies.
High level of English (C1 or above).
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret clinical and market data.
Ability to translate complex scientific information into impactful and strategic messages.
Strategic thinking and business orientation with interest in understanding market dynamics and competitive positioning.
Learning agility and adaptability to transition between scientific and commercial environments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Proactivity, ownership mentality, and problem-solving attitude.
Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Office 365 tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiarity or willingness to learn agile project management and AI-based tools.
Passion for improving patients’ lives and motivation to contribute in an innovative and challenging environment.
Commitment to dedicate yourself full time to the program from September 2026 to August 2027.
For international students, have a valid NIE or work permit in Spain.
