DeFi Engineer

Job Summary: We are offering a DeFi Engineer position for a person with strong quantitative and development skills and EVM-DeFi knowledge. The successful candidate should be able to analyse complex DeFi interactions at the smart-contract level, reverse-engineer the functioning of DeFi protocols and produce proof-of-concept code to illustrate the functioning of protocols, and ultimately integrate them in our onchain execution stack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analysing existing and novel DeFi protocols and understanding the key mechanisms at play to interact with the protocol.

• Producing proof-of-concept code proving the understanding of the protocol and its mechanisms.

• Translating this knowledge into production ready integrations in our proprietary stack.

• Being able to simulate and test the developed integrations in the context of the Dialectic books.

• Producing analyses and reports in the form of notebooks to illustrate functioning of protocol interactions and research output.

• Work closely with the Software team to implement required features to support new integrations.

• Work closely with the portfolio managers to understand their current needs, and proactively suggest operations.

Key Requirements:

• Deep understanding of EVM-DeFi protocols and capital flows in DeFi.

• Ability to investigate onchain transactions using existing and custom tools.

• Background in sciences, finance or computer/data science with a deep understanding of financial markets.

• Entrepreneurial mindset, be independent and be flexible.

• Development skills in Python.

• Skills in other Languages such as Rust and Solidity would be considered a strong asset.

• Ability to find and clean data with respect to opaque markets.

• Advanced data visualization skills would be considered a strong asset.

• Self-motivated, disciplined and detail-oriented.
