Job Overview:

KernelDAO is seeking a DeFi Analyst who will play a key role in supporting our decentralized initiatives through research, data analysis, and protocol engagement. This role requires a strong foundation in DeFi—someone who has firsthand on-chain experience with wallets, bridging, lending, and transactions, combined with analytical and technical skills in data modeling and Excel. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and go-getter, deeply passionate about decentralized finance, able to take ownership of ad-hoc tasks, contribute to technical problem-solving, and help design and manage grant programs. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, technology, and DeFi innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on ad-hoc tasks and assist in resolving technical issues related to DeFi operations

• Formulate and manage grant programs within the DAO.

• Leverage Excel and data modeling skills to build dashboards, financial models, and performance reports.

• Interpret and evaluate on-chain data, bridging activities, lending protocols, and liquidity flows.

• Collaborate with internal teams to support KernelDAO’s growth and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven 2-5 years of experience working with DeFi protocols (staking, lending, AMMs, yield farming, bridging).

• Strong technical and mathematical understanding, with demonstrated proficiency in Excel and data modeling

• First-hand on-chain experience: must own a wallet, have executed transactions, bridged assets, and interacted with DeFi applications.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret on-chain activity and market trends.

• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, proactive in tackling challenges without constant supervision.

• Deep passion for DeFi and Web3, with curiosity and drive to stay ahead of industry developments.
