Bosch Rexroth Corporation operates the electric servo driver system business, such as hydraulics and FA module components. The company provides products and solutions mainly related to hydraulic and electric drive in a wide range of areas such as construction, general industrial machinery, and FA equipment.

Leveraging the characteristics of high power hydraulic drives and highly efficient electric drives, Bosch Rexroth helps to save energy and clean up exhaust gases in construction machinery and general industrial machinery. Bosch Rexroth is also contributing to higher safety and reliability of machinery. In factory automation module components, Bosch supplies an extensive lineup of components, such as semiconductor manufacturing equipment, to meet needs on the front lines of manufacturing.

Hägglunds, as part of the Bosch Rexroth brand, provides world‑class hydraulic drive systems.

Its unique hydraulic direct drive technology delivers exceptional reliability and efficiency, even in extremely demanding environments such as mining, steel production, recycling, and marine applications.

In this position, you will serve as the Country Head responsible for leading the Hägglunds business (hydraulic drive systems) in the Japanese market. You will drive a comprehensive solutions business that integrates products, engineering, services, and digital offerings.

In addition to the sales organization, your management scope will include after‑sales service, purchasing, logistics, and sales support teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop business strategy for the Japan market
• Drive business activities to achieve revenue and profit targets
• Collaborate and report to global headquarters; share business plans and market insights
• Lead and manage teams across sales, service, purchasing, logistics, and sales support

Required Skills (Essential Qualifications)

Industry / Business Experience

• Experience in business management within an industrial machinery manufacturer
• Experience driving solution-based business activities (identifying customer issues and providing/implementing solutions)

Organizational Management Experience

• Experience managing an organization with multiple functions (Sales, Service, Purchasing, Logistics, Administration)
• Experience as a line manager, including talent development and organizational leadership

Financial / Strategic Skills

• Hands-on experience with portfolio management
• Experience managing P&L responsibilities

Language & Communication

• Japanese: Native-level proficiency (mandatory)
• Business-level English (required for communication with the global headquarters; the final interview will be conducted in English with the Hägglunds business leadership team in Sweden)

 

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience working at a heavy electrical equipment manufacturer
• Business experience in an English-speaking environment (customer-facing interactions or communication with overseas internal departments)

• Estimated Compensation Range: JPY 11,000,000 – 14,000,000

The final offer will be determined based on experience, skill assessment, and interview results.

The upper end of the range (JPY 14,000,000) is intended for candidates with substantial experience and a strong track record in the relevant domain.
