Job Description

The client is one of the largest retailers in the United States – they sell home improvement products (everything from shovels to lights to A/C units). The company has been in business for over 50 years and has more than 200,000 employees with over $50 billion in annual revenue.

Position: DB2 Database Administrator

Location: Mooresville, NC (near Charlotte, NC)

Duration: 3+ Months

Benefits: We offer medical/dental/vision, one week of paid time off, a $1,000 allowance for training and development, and a 401K.

Responsibilities:

• Tuning SQL queries and stored procedures within the databases
• Perform scalability studies and Provide recommendations
• Collaboration with Mainframe team to support the overall performance of the back-end systems

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience including prior work with IBM DB2 databases
• Bachelor’s Degree is nice to have, but not required
• Good communication skills
