JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Senior Advanced Scheduling Specialist
with strong
Dayforce Workforce Management (WFM)
experience to support complex scheduling needs in a retail environment. This is a hands-on role focused on designing, configuring, and continuously optimizing advanced scheduling strategies to balance demand, labor efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate can join immediately and bring deep expertise in scheduling rules, labor compliance, and data-driven workforce optimization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and implement advanced workforce scheduling strategies aligned to retail business needs, including peak periods, seasonal demand, and workforce fluctuations
Configure, maintain, and enhance scheduling rules within Dayforce WFM to support business policies, union agreements, and labor laws
Leverage AI-driven and predictive scheduling tools to design and refine scheduling logic, balancing capacity, demand, and compliance
Continuously review and improve scheduling rules based on performance outcomes and changing business requirements
Monitor schedule adherence, forecast accuracy, and labor utilization, providing insights and actionable recommendations
Ensure full compliance with local labor regulations, including rest and meal break rules, overtime, and contractual obligations
Analyze workforce and scheduling data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization
Partner closely with HR, Operations, and business stakeholders to support effective workforce planning and execution
Support ongoing enhancements and best-practice adoption within the scheduling function
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong hands-on experience with Dayforce Workforce Management, specifically advanced scheduling
Proven experience designing and maintaining complex scheduling rules in retail or multi-site environments
Solid understanding of labor compliance, union agreements, and scheduling regulations
Experience using AI, predictive, or generative tools to enhance scheduling logic and outcomes
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret workforce data and translate insights into action
Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage changing priorities
High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
