Role Overview

- Create technical specifications and develop code using DataStage

- Should be able to interface with client and work on technical requirement

- Designs, specifies, develops, implements, and maintains systems.

- Medium level ownership and works independently.

- Contributes to area by ensuring quality of output.

- Good working knowledge and demonstrated ability utilizing systems, tools and procedures to accomplish job.

- Mentor and build team members

- In-depth customer/domain knowledge

- DIT, SIT, UAT testing

Requirements

- 6+ years of relevant experience

- developer skills in DataStage

- Sound database concepts (Oracle/Netezza)

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus or equivalent job experience

- Strong experience with Parallel job development

- Unix shell scripting skills – at least basic to intermediate level

- SQL skills – intermediate to advanced skills

- Understanding of Data profiling and reconciliation

- Understanding of data management/data warehousing concepts-good idea on indexing, ETL relevant concepts/features

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at multiple levels, including: programmers, non-technical project managers, business analysts,
