Datacenter Operations Specialist - Haarlem

This is a hardware-focused role for our day-team in Haarlem, providing colocation, bare metal and cloud services.  

What is the role about?

You will be responsible to assemble, deliver and maintain Datacenter infrastructure (hardware, software and connectivity) of internal and external customers. You will be also responsible for the quality of all technical aspects within the Datacenter Operations team.

Key responsibilities:

• Take ownership of building new services such as dedicated racks, colocations and maintaining them

• Conduct inspections on power and cooling systems to ensure they are operational and efficient

• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies

• Acts as an escalation manager and a single point of contact for customers during implementation and troubleshooting on technical issues

• Prepare technical reports and share status with the whole team

• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations

• Ensuring infrastructure meets the requirements of the customers

• Hardware and Software updating

• Testing

• Managing hardware/spare part replacement

• Ticket resolving, Troubleshooting closely with different support teams

• Participating in the capacity planning

• Project Management around relocation of servers

• Work closely with the other datacenters of Leaseweb

What we’re looking for:

You have an IT background and you know how a datacenter works:

• At least 5 years of experience in a datacenter environment

• Problem solving mentality

• Basic Network knowledge

• You’re a self-starter and are able to work independently. We appreciate if you are proactive and adaptable and can work in a fast-paced environment. This means you need to be self-sustainable in daily operations.

• You need to be eligible to work in the Netherlands and you have a valid driver license

The salary for this position ranges from 39.000 Euros to 60.500 Euros annually (including the holiday allowance), depending on your experience and skills.
