Title: DATACENTER NETWORK ENGINEER
Location: Bethpage, NY
Duration: 1 Year
Only GC and citizen with W2 option
• Provide network LAN/WAN design, implementation, consulting and leadership for data and converged communications infrastructure based largely on Cisco equipment. Act as a trusted partner in implementing the data network infrastructure to improve business operations and customer satisfaction.
• Performs design integration for complex, cross-functional systems and leads technical design reviews of various infrastructure projects and function as a high level technical resource.
• Collect, consolidate and analyze business and technical requirements from key constituents. Recommend appropriate technological designs and solutions that align with the business requirements, the company's technical strategy, and provides the most efficient and cost effective solution
• Lead the delivery of the specific network solutions, including requirements analysis, internal proposal preparation, evaluation of supplier proposals, tool selection, and implementation planning;
• Develop LAN/WAN architectures, perform network traffic analysis, predict LAN network bandwidth needs, and recommend modifications to the network configurations which reduces costs, maintains regulatory compliance and improves service
QUALIFICATIONS
• Eight to Ten years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting data and converged network infrastructure including most of the following: Cabling, Routing Protocols including OSPF, EIGRP and BGP, Wireless LAN, SAN, Load Balancers, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Firewalls and other network related technologies in support of a large corporate network
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, NXOS , BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, FCOE and FC environments
• Experience with Datacenter Virtualization technologies including hands on experience with Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K, 2K, 9000 series equipment
• In-depth hands on experience with Cisco ASR 9000, 3900 ISR UC routers and Catalyst 4500, 3500, 3600, 2900 switching environment
• Experience deploying and maintaining wide area networks with emphasis on IPsec, VPN and MPLS transport and commonly used access technologies such as DS1/T1, E1, DS3, OC3, OC12 and Metro Ethernet
• Knowledge of IP traffic flow, protocol analysis, capturing and monitoring of live traffic streams
• Extensive knowledge with Cisco UCS environment and VMware integration
• Experience with Cisco UCM and VOIP technologies is a plus
• CCNP data center, CCNP routing/switching, CISSP certifications preferred
