A leading provider of data, analytics, news and intelligence serving several industries seeks talented Sr. Systems Analyst to join dynamic and forward-thinking team. This group will participate in the development of new applications to ingest, process and publish content conforming with qualitative business requirements.  

This is a great opportunity for a database and business intelligence professsional who wants to be part of an exciting organization building the next generation data and analytics tools. 

The Systems team will perform data normalization using software solutions, such as Kapow and Temis, to structure, normalize, and manage business rules and data flow. This position will be responsible for researching and extracting required information from various sources and documents using ETL and Natural Language Processing tools that give structure to unstructured data, as well as, researching additional terms and libraries available that may give more accurate results for the automated data structuring.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• A working knowledge of entity extraction technologies with some experience with writing regular expressions.
• Experience demonstrating proficiency with the use of standard computer applications and a working knowledge of database structured query language 
• Experience with R programming language and libraries desirable
• Independent decision-making and working with a small focused self-directed team to accomplish goals quickly is required.
• Critical thinking, business acumen, analytical skills, and investigative mindset is essential.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; statistics or computer science desirable.
