We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, with a proven track record of ensuring database reliability, performance, security, and scalability in production environments. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to support business-critical applications and data-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain robust database architectures using MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL to support high-availability and high-performance systems.Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively tune queries, indexes, and configurations to ensure optimal efficiency.Manage database installations, upgrades, patching, and version migrations with minimal downtime.Ensure database security by implementing access controls, encryption, auditing, and compliance best practices.Plan and execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity.Work closely with application developers to support schema design, query optimization, and data modeling for both relational and NoSQL databases.Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues in production and non-production environments.Automate routine database operations and monitoring using scripts and tools to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.Maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, procedures, and operational guidelines.Participate in capacity planning, performance forecasting, and scalability planning as the organization grows.

Required Skills & Qualifications
5–8 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar database-focused role.Strong expertise in MongoDB, including replication, sharding, performance tuning, and backup strategies.Solid experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL, including query optimization, indexing, replication, and high-availability setups.In-depth understanding of database internals, transaction management, locking mechanisms, and storage engines.Experience working in Linux/Unix environments and familiarity with shell scripting.Knowledge of database monitoring and alerting tools.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud-managed databases (AWS RDS, Aurora, MongoDB Atlas, or equivalent).Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code tools.Understanding of data security standards, compliance requirements, and governance best practices.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
