We are seeking a Data Systems Engineering intern to support on-site IT initiatives at our Plymouth, Michigan office.  During this internship, your key responsibilities will include: 

• Support data ingest, storage, and transfer activities
• Archival data compression and transfer from NAS (network attached storage)
• Assist with the management and upkeep of our business unit's server rooms at the Plymouth facility
• Support technical vehicle data management software development
• Support IT cost savings initiatives

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Systems, Mathematics or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and software and networking
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Prior exposure to cloud compute
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Ability to commit to a minimum 6-month internship period (20 hours per week)
• This role will be in Plymouth, MI.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new challenges
