Spinnaker Support has an immediate opening for a Data Specialist, Customer Onboarding, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Data Specialist, Customer Onboarding provides software archive services for new Spinnaker Support customers during the initial customer onboarding process. Data Specialist services include the planning, execution and status reporting for all Oracle EBS, Oracle DB and tech products, Siebel, Hyperion, JD Edwards, VMWare and SAP products that our customers have legal entitlement to download prior to their maintenance end dates with the software vendors.
Required:
• Bachelor's degree or related experience
• 4+ years of professional work experience preferred
• Organization Skills: Microsoft notes, email, Teams (messages, channels, and one note), and Smartsheet
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Smartsheet highly desirable
• Ability to work flexible schedules (weekends and daily overtime required during high season)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Plan, execute and provide status reporting for the archiving of entitled customer software from software vendor sites on behalf of our customers
• Establish connectivity to our customer's systems and document the connectivity according to the current Spinnaker Support ISO standard
• Aid archive contractors employed by Spinnaker Support during high volume archiving periods
• Maintain updated procedures and training manuals on how to perform the archive job duties
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and measure to streamline processes for our customers
• Present status reports to assigned customers, and maintain accurate data for customer-facing materials
Required Competencies (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
• Broad understanding of web browser usage - experience using a web browser to navigate a complex site (i.e., Amazon)
• Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft tools
• Ability to estimate project time for assigned tasks
• Ability to take direction from multiple product team leads and report back in a timely manner
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload according to assigned projects
• Strong customer service as well as written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to implement processes improvements with latest AI tools and resources
