Job Description & Summary

PwC Slovakia is looking for a dynamic and experienced Data Science & AI Lead to join our growing team of data professionals. This role is ideal for a leader who combines technical excellence with strong communication skills and a proven ability to lead and develop teams.  

As a Data Science & AI Lead, you will play a key role in shaping data-driven strategies, delivering impactful solutions, and mentoring a team of talented individuals.

You will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to shape data-driven strategies, oversee complex delivery engagements, and ensure high-quality outcomes across projects that blend machine learning, software engineering, and modern AI techniques.

This role is well-suited for a leader who enjoys both hands-on problem-solving and building high-performing teams in an innovative, collaborative environment. 

What You’ll Do:  

• Lead and manage a team of data scientists, analysts, and AI engineers to deliver high-quality solutions across industries.  

• Design and implement advanced data science and AI solutions, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and data engineering, fine-tuning LLM models and complex RAG-based systems. 

• Act as a strategic advisor to clients, clearly communicating technical concepts and recommendations in a business-relevant way.  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client needs and translate them into effective data-driven strategies.  

• Ensure project delivery excellence – managing timelines, resources, and quality standards.  

• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and technical excellence. 

• Contribute to PwC’s thought leadership in data science and AI through publications, presentations, and internal knowledge sharing.  

Requirements:  

• Proven experience in data science, AI, analytics, or data engineering, ideally within a consulting or client-facing environment.  

• Strong technical skills in tools such as Python, SQL, Spark, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and modern AI architectures (e.g., RAG, model fine-tuning).  

• Excellent communication and presentation skills – able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.  

• Demonstrated success in leading teams and delivering complex data projects.  

• Strategic mindset with the ability to align technical solutions with business goals.  

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).

Salary: From 4300 EUR/month
(For candidates with many years of experience, the salary is negotiable based on experience and proven seniority.)

Contract type: Full-time
