Data Processing Team Leader (US Healthcare)
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands‑on Team Leader to support a Digital Transformation–driven claims processing environment for US health insurance clients. This role sits within a Product Support Services–type function, providing operational support across claims and non‑claims workflows, with a strong focus on data lifting, text processing, validation, and client deliverables.
The Team Leader will actively process work while guiding a team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across multiple workflows and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Processing & Digital Operations
Perform end-to-end data processing for US medical claims and documents
Review scanned files (PDFs, images) and extract accurate claim data
Validate and correct information in the system
Handle complex or priority cases as a subject matter resource
Team Leadership & Support
Lead and support a team of processors (data/text/claims)
Assign daily tasks and balance workloads across accounts
Act as the first point of contact for issues or escalations
Client Deliverables
Ensure accurate and on-time submission of client outputs
Perform basic checks/reconciliation to ensure data completeness
Help resolve client or internal data-related concerns
Quality & Compliance
Review team output to ensure accuracy and quality standards
Identify errors and coach team members for improvement
Ensure compliance with US healthcare regulations (HIPAA)
Coaching & Improvement
Provide real-time coaching and feedback to the team
Support onboarding and training of new hires
Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency
Reporting & Coordination
Monitor team performance (productivity, accuracy, turnaround time)
Share reports and coordinate with Quality, Training, and Operations teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare-related courses or equivalent experience.
At least 2-3years experience in US medical claims or data processing.
Experience as a Senior Processor / SME / Team Lead is an advantage
Knowledge of US medical claims processing
Experience in data extraction, validation, and high-volume work
Experience in BPO/shared services or digital operations.
Exposure to reconciliation, audits, or client support.
Requirements:
Willing to work on shifting schedules, graveyard shift if required.
Candidate residing in Manila or nearby provinces is preferred
**Work Arrangement: This position is currently offered on a HYBRID work basis. However, please note that this is a performance-based role, and the company reserves the right to require employees to report onsite at any time based on business needs, performance evaluations, operational requirements. Flexibility to transition to an office-based setup when necessary is expected.
