The Avanade Data Platform offering assists clients in organizing and optimizing their data estates using Microsoft cloud technologies. This comprehensive platform supports solutions using technologies as Microsoft Fabric, Internet of Things (IoT), Advanced Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), enabling clients to realize the full potential of their data-driven initiatives.

Role Overview: Data Platform Solution Architect

As a Data Platform Solution Architect, you will collaborate with clients to identify, document, and translate their business strategies and requirements into tailored solutions and services on Azure. These solutions help clients achieve their business objectives through advanced data capabilities. The scope of work includes diverse data types, such as batch, and real-time data, and leverages advanced analytics functionalities.

We cover the entire data stack, including data ingestion and storage, data modeling, machine learning, and data interaction and visualization, utilizing Microsoft Azure technologies, especially Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks. Additionally, a general understanding of related cloud services, such as APIs, Microservices, and Security Services (Azure Active Directory, Azure KeyVault), is necessary. Familiarity with DevOps practices for data pipelines is also valued.

You will be responsible for delivering relevant and sustainable customer technical proposals, drawing on your expertise in Data Platform and Analytics solutions. This role is part of the Avanade Data & AI Practice and emphasizes selecting the optimal architecture and delivery approach to balance costs, capabilities, and risks, ensuring clients achieve their desired business outcomes.

As a technical counterpart to Business Developers and Account Leads, you will support sales by providing technical expertise, serving as a customer interface for Avanade’s technology solutions, offerings, and capabilities throughout the sales process.

Key Role Responsibilities

Develop technical value propositions that address customer needs and differentiate Avanade positively.
Create technical architectures tailored to client requirements.
Build technical relationships with customer IT teams, mapping business and technology challenges to effective Data solutions.
Lead scope definition, approach, and estimation for technical proposal development activities.
Support negotiation and contracting by balancing scope, resources, and milestone requirements.
Analyze current business practices, processes, and procedures, while identifying future opportunities to leverage Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics PaaS and SaaS Services.
Identify and prioritize in-demand technical skills for Delivery Teams to guide training and development efforts.

Qualification

Proven client experience in defining Data architectures that balance cost, capability, and risk to meet business objectives.
Strong understanding of AI, Data, PaaS, and DevOps value propositions and technologies within the Microsoft Azure platform, especially with Microsoft Fabric (including PowerBI) and Azure Databricks
Demonstrated ability to translate business use cases and requirements into technical solutions.
Ability to solve business problems using one or more Azure Data and Analytics services, combined with an agile approach.
Capacity to build strong technical credibility with customers and internal delivery teams.
Proven delivery background and substantial technology consulting experience.
Eagerness to learn new solutions and architecture patterns and apply them effectively.
High customer focus and commercial sensitivity.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to develop and foster customer relationships.
