What you will do:
Design, build, and enhance a sustainable and scalable data platform.
Collaborate with data engineers across the organization to understand and address their needs.
Provide modern tools, standards, and best practices to enable data engineers.
Align platform architecture with data architects, platform engineers, and security officers to ensure stability and security.
Support advanced use cases, such as managing large IoT data streams.
Act as a role model, simplifying access to data, introducing best practices, and driving Axpo’s data-driven transformation.
Scout innovative technologies and trends in data engineering.
Share your expertise and contribute to Axpo’s vibrant data community.
What you bring & who you are:
At least 3 years of experience in modern data engineering.
Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or similar languages.
Experience managing cloud environments like Azure and their data services (e.g., Databricks, Data Factory) using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
Knowledge of identity and access management, as well as networking (e.g., Azure VNet).
Expertise in data architecture patterns such as ETL, medallion architecture, and data mesh.
Motivated to build and improve platforms that enable other teams.
Fluent in German or English.
Team-oriented with a proactive mindset, a maker mentality, and a good sense of humor.
