What will you be doing:

You will be at the forefront of our data engineering missions. You'll be responsible for orchestrating successful Data Platform and Cloud Migration projects ensuring timely and effective project delivery, enhancing respective offerings, and nurturing a high-performing offshore team. Key responsibilities are:

Project Delivery Excellence

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of data platform and cloud migration projects from inception to completion

• Collaborate with onshore and client teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution.

• Lead a team of offshore experts, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

• Provide technical guidance and support to offshore team members on data engineering technologies and best practices.

• Offer Development:

• Support RFP and proposal processes, highlighting our unique value proposition.

• Collaborate with global leadership to expand our offshore capabilities and to develop compelling data engineering solutions.

• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our solutions remain competitive.

• Candidate validation and upskilling:

• Recruit and hire talented data engineering professionals in the offshore region.

• Conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' skills and fit with our team culture.

• Mentor and develop offshore team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

What are we looking for:

We’re looking for forward-thinkers and “quick studies” who are poised to make impact, are ready to help our clients in their digital and data journeys, and will help to position Artefact at the forefront of innovation and disruption. As someone who will help build our India office from the ground up, we need a leader with proven ability to design, implement and manage advanced data platforms. She will have extensive experience in leading successful cloud migration projects ensuring seamless transition of data across systems. We’ll give you the tools and training to be successful, and you’ll come armed with the following:

• Solid understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts

• Deep understanding of multiple cloud platforms, tools and technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Informatica, DBT, Terraform, MS Fabric, Kafka, Spark, Redshift, etc.) and ability to leverage their capabilities for data-driven solutions

• Strong programming aptitude (e.g., Python, SQL) for data manipulation, analysis, and automation

• Solid working knowledge of RESTful APIs and other integration methods to enable data interoperability and platform extensibility

• Deep experience in implementing best practices: CICD, DevOps, SRE, agile, scrum

• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, and build strong relationships

• Experience in recruiting and developing technical talent in India
