Job Description

• Possess extensive experience with PL-SQL
• Experience working with MS SQL Server, Oracle and other RDBMS and tools like SQL Navigator, TOAD etc.
• Work with the Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models.
• Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy.
• Through understanding of data warehouse concepts
• Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects.
• Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata.
• Sound knowledge of traditional as well as agile software development methodologies
• Strong knowledge of systems and software development lifecycles; application integration techniques; and relational database design
• Possess good understanding of database performance tuning techniques. Able to use explain plan, hints, access paths etc.
• Hands-on experience in Unix shell scripting.
• Excellent skill in communicating orally and in writing with people
