We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Modeler to lead the design and architecture of enterprise-grade data solutions across multiple business domains. This hybrid role, based in Bangalore, Kolkata, or Hyderabad, is ideal for professionals with 5–20 years of experience who bring deep expertise in data modeling, modern data architectures, and large-scale transformation programs.

In this role, you will act as a Solution Architect for Data Modeling, working closely with product, engineering, and business teams to build scalable, high-quality data models that support both transactional and analytical use cases. You will play a critical role in shaping the organization’s data foundation, contributing to initiatives such as data lake development, cloud migration, and the implementation of modern architectures like Medallion and Kimball. The position demands a strong balance of technical depth, architectural thinking, and stakeholder collaboration.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust logical and physical data models using tools like ERwin, aligned with business and technical requirements
• Implement dimensional modeling for analytical systems and normalized structures for transactional (OLTP) systems
• Build and maintain scalable data models across modern architectures including data lakes, lakehouse, and Medallion frameworks (bronze, silver, gold layers)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to translate business needs into structured data solutions
• Model and integrate enterprise datasets from systems such as ERP platforms, ensuring consistency and usability across functions like Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Procurement
• Define data grain, relationships, and structures to optimize performance and scalability across OLTP and OLAP environments
• Develop data documentation including data dictionaries, process flows, and integration diagrams
• Ensure adherence to data governance, data quality, and data observability standards within all modeling practices
• Contribute to cloud-based data architecture initiatives and integrate models within ETL/ELT pipelines and DataOps workflows
• Support large-scale data transformation programs including migrations, platform modernization, and data foundation building
• Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning and stakeholder discussions, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery

• Strong expertise in data modeling, including logical, physical, and dimensional modeling techniques
• Hands-on experience with tools like ERwin and a deep understanding of OLTP and OLAP systems
• Proven ability to design scalable data architectures using modern frameworks such as Medallion and Kimball methodologies
• Solid experience working with ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, and cloud-based data platforms
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data domains and experience integrating data from ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
• Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python for data processing and transformation
• Understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and best practices in data management
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
