Data Migration Engineer

As LEDP data migration engineer, you will play a critical role in enabling the implementation of new features in the digital platform that is supporting management of Sanofi's M&S Launch activities, in order to secure and our futures Sanofi new products Launches.

About the Job

Our Launch Engine Digital Platform is based on Dassault Systems 3DExperience platform. We currently have and on premise and a full Saas instance. Our on premise version has 2 releases per year, while the Saas isnstance has a 10wk release schedule. We are also progressively extending the scope of the platform, decommissioning other applications.

The LEDP data migration engineer is responsible for data migration and mass import of new data that is required when:

• Upgrading 3DExperience on premise platform from one release to another when there is a data model change

• Moving 3DExperience from on premise to full Saas

• Implementing a new interface with another application or decommissioning an existing application and replacing it with LEDP.

Responsibilities include:

• Confirming the target data model with functional and technical team leads and establishing the data migration plan for each solution.

• Working with legacy and new systems to design and create mechanisms for data extraction, cleansing, transformation, enrichment, loading, and validation.

• Coordinating all data migration activities and creating and operating migration tools.

• Coordinating creation of mass upload tools, and ensuring proper use of the related tools by L3 team.

• Developing resource requirements to implement the data migration plan.

• Monitoring and reporting progress of the data migration plan.

• Identifying issues and risks for data migration activities and developing mitigation plans.

• Designing a quality management scheme and plan for data migration activities.

• Creating and maintaining a progress tracker for all data migration activities and stages.

• Presenting plans and progress to program boards.

• Working with the architecture team, PMO, functional and technical team to develop and document a standard data migration approach.

Main Responsibilities:

• Education/Certifications

Minimum B.Sc in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline

Advanced degree (eg. M.Sc) preferred

Skills

• 5+ Experience in 3DExperience development and data migration.

• Experience with ETL development or SQL-based data engineering roles.

• Knowledge of best practices and compliance with organizational policies, data privacy, and security standards.

• Experience with large-scale data migration or modernization projects.
