Join Our Team as a Data Intern (Graduation) at Beyond Sports

Then this is your opportunity to join Beyond Sports as a Data Intern during your internship or graduation period.

During your internship, you’ll work on data-driven projects that are used by top clubs, leagues, and broadcasters worldwide, including Arsenal, Ajax, Feyenoord, the KNVB, Fox Sports, Sky Sports, the NBA, NFL, NHL, and many more. The impact of your work is directly visible in our product. We are looking for a motivated Data Intern to join our team from February 2026 for a 5–6 month period in Alkmaar.

What your day will look like

As a Data Intern at Beyond Sports, you’ll be a full member of our team from day one. You’ll collaborate closely with data specialists, software engineers, and Unity developers to analyze, process, and visualize sports data that powers our products.

Your daily activities may include:

• Working with large sports datasets and mathematical models

• Analyzing, cleaning, and validating data

• Translating data into clear insights and visual outcomes

• Supporting the development and improvement of our data pipelines

• Collaborating with developers to see your data come to life in our product

• Experimenting with new ideas and approaches to data usage

• Contributing your own ideas to improve our data-driven solutions

Together with your supervisor, you’ll define your internship or graduation assignment based on your interests, skills, and study requirements. You’ll receive guidance throughout your internship, with regular feedback moments to help you grow. At Beyond Sports, curiosity and initiative are highly valued, and there is plenty of room to explore your own ideas.

Who are you?

You’ll feel right at home at Beyond Sports if you:

• Have a strong interest in sports, data, and technology

• Are enrolled in a mathematically oriented study (e.g. Mathematics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, AI, Computer Science, or similar)

• Are available 4–5 days per week for at least 5–6 months

• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Communicate clearly in English

• Are curious, eager to learn, and not afraid to dive deep into complex problems

• Take ownership of your work and enjoy going the extra mile when needed

• Can work independently, but also enjoy collaborating in a team

We prefer interns who are enrolled at a Dutch university or college for the entire duration of the internship and are able to provide an internship agreement.

After the internship, there is the possibility to continue in a full-time role at Beyond Sports, depending on performance and team availability.

Technical skills and requirements

You don’t need to know everything yet, this is an internship, but we’re looking for students with the following profile:

Required

• Strong affinity with mathematics and data analysis

• Experience with programming or scripting (e.g. Python, C#, or similar)

• Analytical mindset and attention to detail

• Ability to understand and work with structured datasets

Preferred

• Knowledge of C#

• Experience with Unity or Unity builds

• Familiarity with data visualization

• Experience working with sports data
