Data Governance Consultant

Master-Works is looking for a skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Data Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance strategies that ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across the organization. You will work collaboratively with various departments to create policies and procedures for effective data management and oversight.

In this role, you will:

• Assess current data governance practices and define a clear roadmap for improvements.
• Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to enhance data quality and accessibility.
• Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to identify data stewardship roles and responsibilities.
• Conduct training and workshops to promote awareness of data governance principles and best practices.
• Monitor compliance with data governance policies and report on the effectiveness of governance initiatives.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and data quality standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging with various stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications in data governance, such as CDMP or DGI-P, are a plus.
• Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies.
• Experience in conducting data quality assessments and implementing data quality improvement initiatives.
