Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our global operations team. This is a 6-month FTC with a chance for permanency. This remote position directly supports our clients within specialized healthcare sectors. The role involves performing critical data entry to support system conversions, including extracting patient information from legacy systems and inputting insurance details into modern practice management systems. You will also review patient records in legacy EMR systems and accurately enter medical histories—such as medications, allergies, and past surgical procedures—into electronic medical record applications. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, adhering to the highest standards of data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality. This is a full-time contract role for an initial one-year term, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:
• Enter and update patient records accurately in internal databases, applications, and client systems like NextGen and EMA.
• Verify data accuracy and consistency by comparing it to source documents within legacy Practice Management and EMR systems.
• Perform routine quality checks on completed work before submission to ensure strict data integrity.
• Review patient records to extract and input medical histories, including medications, allergies, and past medical or surgical histories.
• Handle sensitive patient information with strict adherence to data handling protocols and confidentiality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to clarify any missing, incomplete, or ambiguous information.
• Maintain a high level of productivity to support system conversion timelines and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
• 4+ years of professional experience in data entry or administrative tasks, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
• High proficiency with spreadsheet software (e.g., MS Excel, Google Sheets) and online data entry forms.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fully remote setting.
• A reliable, high-speed internet connection suitable for working standard US business hours.
• Prior experience handling confidential information, particularly in a healthcare or medical context, is highly desirable.
• Excellent written communication skills in English.
