Data Engineering Developer - Assistant Manager

We are seeking a Data Services Engineering Lead with extensive experience in designing and implementation of distributed applications to join our innovative development team.

This role focuses on building high-performance data pipelines, lakehouse architectures, and distributed processing solutions to enable advanced analytics in the financial domain.

The candidate will lead engineering strategy, promote best practices, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and innovation. Strong expertise in cloud, data engineering, and platform optimization is critical to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful, data-driven business solutions. It also demands strong leadership in managing teams, resolving complex issues, and driving end-to-end execution in an Agile environment.

What you will be responsible for

- Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex UI applications using ReactJS and modern frontend technologies, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

- Define and enforce frontend architecture, design patterns, and coding standards, promoting best practices across UI development teams.

- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX designers, backend teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to UI developers, conducting code reviews, design reviews, and guiding the team on ReactJS best practices.

- Drive adoption of modern UI frameworks, component libraries, and tools (e.g., React, MUI, state management, build tools).

- Oversee UI performance optimization, accessibility, responsiveness and cross‑browser compatibility.

- Ensure high code quality through automated testing, unit testing strategies, CI/CD integration, and adherence to development standards.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives, contributing to delivery commitments.

- Identify technical risks and bottlenecks, propose solutions, and take ownership of technical decision‑making.

- Coordinate with global teams and stakeholders to ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery and alignment with overall project and business goals.

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with hands‑on experience in Agile methodologies. Ability to analyze business requirements and functional specifications and translate them into effective technical solutions.

• Experience in enterprise data platforms with strong expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, Oracle PL/SQL, and scalable solution architecture.

• Proven hands-on experience in designing cloud-native data solutions on Azure, including data Lakehouse and distributed processing frameworks.

• Strong expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines, microservices, and containerized applications using modern technologies.

• Experience leveraging AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and automation frameworks to improve development productivity and code quality. System Design, Data Structures & Code Quality.

• Solid understanding of Git features and workflows. Proven ability to coordinate with cross‑regional teams, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a global development team.

• Strong grasp of data structures and algorithms, enabling the development of efficient, scalable, and maintainable applications. Ensures adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance optimization.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Demonstrate high levels of dedication, accountability, and commitment toward delivering quality outcomes and supporting team success.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science background.

• Certifications in cloud and data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Azure, demonstrating expertise in modern cloud data engineering and lake house architectures.

• Hands-on exposure to AI tools and platforms, including GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted development tools, to improve engineering productivity and automation.

• Active participation in technical communities, data engineering forums, or contributions to open-source projects related to data platforms, AI, or cloud technologies, will be considered an added advantage.
