Job Description
Build a drug access platform (mission-driven + real patient impact) for a fast-growing, profitable health-tech company, where your data pipelines power how patients access and afford critical medications across the U.S. healthcare system.
This role is ideal for a senior, hands-on Data Engineer who enjoys owning data architecture end-to-end - designing warehouses, building reliable pipelines, and enabling high-confidence financial and payments analytics in a complex, evolving data environment.
This is an individual contributor role with strong design ownership (not management). You’ll work closely with analytics, product, and engineering partners to ensure data is accurate, reconciled, and reliablein a compliance-aware healthcare setting.
What You’ll Do
- Design and own data warehouse architecture and analytics-ready data models
- Build and maintain production ETL/ELT pipelines for transactional and financial data
- Develop fact and dimension tables that support payments, reconciliation, and reporting
- Implement and manage pipeline orchestration (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Prefect)
- Enable analytics teams with clean data marts, BI tables, and reporting layers
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure data quality, correctness, and auditability
- Operate as a senior IC with end-to-end ownership of data design and delivery
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a Data Engineer or Senior Data Engineer
- Deep expertise in SQL and dimensional data modeling (facts / dimensions)
- Hands-on experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar)
- Proven experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines
- Experience working with transactional, payments, or financial datasets
- Familiarity with pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, etc.)
- Strong focus on analytics enablement (BI, reporting, data marts)
Nice to Have / Preferred
- Experience noted in healthcare, pharma, co-pay, or claims data
- Background in reconciliation, payouts, or ledger-style systems
- Experience with dbt or analytics engineering practices
- Exposure to compliance-sensitive data environments
