ROLE SUMMARY
The Strategy, Insights & Performance team develops data‑driven solutions that help LSEG make better, faster decisions.
As a Data Engineer – Marketing Analytics, you will help simplify and scale how marketing data is captured, processed, and used across the organisation. You will play a key role in building trusted data foundations that support reporting, insights, and decision‑making across Marketing and beyond.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
• Build and maintain a unified and scalable data layer that brings together marketing data from multiple platforms such as paid media, web, CRM, and marketing technology tools
• Design and develop reliable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and standardise marketing data for analytics and reporting
• Improve data quality and consistency by applying validation checks, reconciliation logic, and clearly defined metrics
• Develop analytics‑ready data models that support self‑service reporting in tools such as Power BI and Tableau
• Help establish a single source of truth for marketing performance metrics, KPIs, and dimensional definitions
• Work closely with partners in Marketing, Analytics, and Data Engineering to turn reporting needs into effective data solutions
• Continuously enhance data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency within cloud data platforms
• Enable confident, data‑driven decisions by delivering trusted, well‑documented datasets that power dashboards and advanced analytics
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• Experience working with marketing analytics or reporting teams
• Strong SQL skills for data transformation and analysis
• Familiarity with BI and visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• A detail‑focused approach with a strong emphasis on data accuracy and quality
• Experience working with cloud data warehouses, such as Snowflake
• Confidence integrating data from multiple systems and platforms to support business decisions
DESIRABLE SKILLS
• Experience in roles such as Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or Data Scientist
• Hands‑on experience building and maintaining data pipelines
• Knowledge of data modelling techniques for analytics and reporting
• Experience supporting analytics or insights teams with well‑structured, reliable data
• Interest in improving data standards, documentation, and governance
