Job functions
• Analyze large data sets to get insights using statistical analysis tools and techniques
• Collaborate with the Marketing, Editorial and Engineering teams on dataset building, querying and dashboard implementations
• Support the data tooling improvement efforts and help increase the company data literacy
• Work with the ML team on feature engineering and A/B testing for model building and improvement
• Design, test and build highly scalable data management and monitoring systems
• Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes and predictive models
Qualifications and requirements
• Strong written and spoken English is a must!
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Economics or related field
• 3+ years experience doing analytics in a professional setting
• Advanced SQL skills, including performance troubleshooting
• Experience with data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
• Proficient in Python including familiarity with Jupyter notebooks
• Strong Math/Stats background with statistical analysis experience on big data sets
• Strong communication skills, be able to communicate complex concepts effectively.
