Data Engineer (f/m/d)

The Data Platform team provides data infrastructure and services to our entire organisation, facilitating effortless data-driven decision-making across teams and departments, while ensuring speed, safety, and security.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Maintain, develop, and modernize the data platform

• Design and implement data models (e.g. Data Vault)

• Build scalable batch and streaming data pipelines

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Analysts, Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, and other fellow Data Engineers

• Ensure data reliability, quality, and performance across the systems

• Continuously improve our infrastructure using best practices and automation

OUR TECH STACK

• AWS (Redshift, S3, Kinesis, Glue, Aurora, DMS, EC2, ECS, Fargate, etc.)

• Data Engineering: Python, dbt, Dagster, Matillion

• Infrastructure: Terraform, Docker, CI/CD

• Other tools: Segment, Linux, Tableau

YOUR PROFILE

• A solution-driven mindset with strong ownership mentality, a passion for self-learning and continuous improvement

• 2+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role

• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and data warehousing (ideally AWS and Amazon Redshift)

• Skills in both data streaming and batch-processing

• Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster) and ETL/ELT frame works (ideally dbt)

• Experience coding in Python (or similar programming language) in a production environment

• Familiar with CI/CD, containerization (e.g. Docker, ECS), and working in Linux environments

Nice-to-Haves:

• Knowledge of Data Vault, Kimball, Inmon principles

• Experience with BI tools (preferably Tableau)

• Familiarity with modern data architecture (e.g. data lakes, data lakehouses, data mesh)
