What we expect

Digital Operations Centers (DOC) at TKE intend to translate data into actionable insights for our service and sales workforce in field operations, all geared towards improving performance of our customers’ elevators and escalators. At multiple locations worldwide we run DOC’s where top experts from elevator domain, data and field operations gather.

We are searching for a business savvy data engineer (d/f/m) who is motivated to implement E2E data-based use cases that create tangible business value for our service and sales workforce. The person will collaborate closely with our DOC in Atlanta to learn and scale existing solution approaches to DOC’s in other regions of the world. Therefore the ideal candidate is able to balance technical synergies and create stakeholder-oriented solutions that create business value. This role will be located in Madrid.

Derive measures based on data analysis to drive field productivity, including insights to optimize technician efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve service delivery
Derive measures based on data analysis to create upselling opportunities and other business value- adding use cases
Communicate how data use cases create business value and communicate to business stakeholders accordingly
Work closely with business stakeholder to understand whatever is needed to create E2E business value
Use established procedures and artifacts from our Common Data Platform that is based in Databricks and MS Azure
Make use of data IoT telemetry, customer data, service data as well as further internal and external datasets
Develop and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts for data exploration, transformation and advanced analytics
Apply data modelling and validation techniques to ensure accuracy and consistency
Innovate/find new opportunities based on data insights making use of modern tooling incl. AI/GEnAI

Who we are looking for

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Data Science / Data Engineering
Strong business acumen to understand service contract models and respective value creation mechanisms
Passion for data-driven business-focused innovation in industrial services – Passion for Impact – ready to go the extra mile
Understanding of machinery comparable to elevators and escalators (e.g., industrial machines, rotating equipment, robotics)
Experience collaborating with both technical and business SMEs (Field, Service, R&D)
Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL, and Python
Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modelling, dashboard design)
Experience working with IoT telemetry data (preferably in industrial or service environments)
Proven track record in data analytics roles, ideally within industrial, service, or IoT-heavy organizations
Fluent in English
