Data Collection Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Data Collection Specialist to join our Marketplace Data Acquisition team in our Pune office. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering data from various marketplace sources through web portals, reports, files, and shared systems. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders including engineers, analysts, and QA teams to ensure data completeness, quality, and timeliness.

What You’ll Do:
• Perform data collection from eCommerce marketplaces, admin dashboards, and other digital sources.
• Use tools to browse, extract, and verify marketplace data.
• Download, format, and organize data from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to meet ongoing and ad-hoc data needs.
• Follow SOPs and process documentation to ensure consistency and compliance across data sources.
• Escalate issues, identify inconsistencies, and contribute to improving data quality checks.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow established data security protocols while handling sensitive information.
• Participate in regular syncs and standups to stay aligned with team goals and timelines.

Technical Qualification:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic familiarity with web browsing and navigating online portals.
• Comfortable working in Google Chrome and using spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, stick to process, and raise flags when something looks off.
• Good team coordination and ability to work with distributed stakeholders.
• Basic understanding of problem-solving or troubleshooting methods during collection issues.

Functional Qualification:
• Experience with or curiosity about Google Chrome extensions for productivity or automation and finding opportunities for automation.
• Exposure to eCommerce platforms like Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Seller Center, or Flipkart.
• Familiarity with S3, Dropbox, or shared drive environments for handling files.
