Data Collection Engineer

Team Summary

We are a Data Collection team responsible for gathering high-quality data across multiple programs. Our work involves operating a wide range of devices, from market-ready products to devices in early stages of development.
We simulate real-world events using custom actions and predefined scenarios to recreate specific conditions required for accurate and reliable data collection. Our activities span diverse environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, under various lighting and weather conditions.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Data Collection Engineer with a wide range of responsibilities related to data collection. You will be part of a team involved in the device development process across various programs and projects. The ideal candidate is creative and resilient to external factors.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Conduct data collection using various devices across defined scenarios

• Set up and configure devices and related equipment for data collection

• Perform on-site troubleshooting and consult with the internal Quality Support Engineer when needed

• Resolve issues at remote work locations independently or in collaboration with the Project Coordinator

• Coordinate and communicate with third-party vendors, including locations, vehicles, actors, and other service providers.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience with Smart Home, home automation, and security devices, including photo and video processing

• Confident use of Google Workspace and Confluence

• Experience in Quality Assurance

• Strong teamwork, cross-functional collaboration, and adaptability

• Clear and effective communication

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Good written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments

• Basic scripting skills (Bash, Python)
