The primary responsibility of this role is to help facilitate the datacenters RoundTrip process through managing customer order fulfilment, inventory logistics, and repair of our data storage devices. All with the primary goal of quickly and efficiently transferring client data to our local cloud. This engineer will also be required to assist our Data Center Technicians with the movement and installation of datacenter equipment when required. This requires that the candidate will need to possess data center knowledge for the operational integrity and process and security compliance of the data center infrastructure.

The Data Center Level II Technician maintains and follows the processes that will maximize customer uptime in the most cost-effective way. Ensures that data center problems are identified and repaired quickly, and that internal customer demands are met.

JOB SUMMARY

• Act as a local point of contact between Kaseya and Data Center Staff

• Confidently run and navigate command line procedures to facilitate data transfer

• Communicate with support staff regarding individual hardware and shipment updates

• Conduct daily inspections of all Kaseya related RoundTrip Hardware

• Process HDD (Hard Disk Drive) RMA shipments and coordinate failed drive destruction

• Running hardware diagnostics and replacing failing parts in a timely manner. (RAM, PSUs, Hard drives, etc.)

• Operates and installs computing equipment related to infrastructure and applications including servers, storage, network.

• Maintains inventory and labeling of equipment and removal of decommissioned hardware. Maintains an adequate spare parts inventory of systems, subsystems, and parts used in repair work.

• Lifting equipment required up to and over 50lbs.

• Managing shipping, receiving, and distribution of equipment and hardware.

• As a member of an on-call rotation provide emergency response. Shift, evening, and weekend work, while limited, may be required

About You:

• Team player

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to distribute messages clearly and concisely connecting with employees and customers.

• Advanced technical troubleshooting skills

• An eager can-do attitude

• The engineer must have the ability to organize technical tasks, as well as the ability to develop a detail-oriented technical problem-solving approach

• General computer hardware configuration, troubleshooting, and repair knowledge

• Minimum 2 years of experience managing a logistical process. Ie, inventory, shipping/receiving

• Associate or bachelor's degree related to Information Technology or equivalent experience

• Shipping logistics and/or previous data center experience

• Technical certifications desired

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Ubuntu/Debian Linux

• CompTIA Linux+, Network+ or equivalent
