We are looking for a permanent Data Center Technician (all genders) full-time in our data center in Lauterbourg (France – Grand Est region).

What you can expect
As a Data Center Technician (all genders) at Contabo, you will make a direct contribution to the company's success, as our data centers are the heart and foundation of our company. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, you will work with the existing team to install, maintain and repair servers and our other infrastructure.

Your day-to-day work will be varied: from the cabling of IT and network components to the continuous optimization of our newly built data centers on site in Lauterbourg through server relocations or rebuilds.

In addition to the practical work, you will be involved for maintaining the documentation and expanding our knowledge database - here you can share and expand your knowledge. You will ensure smooth processes in the operation of the data center and always maintain an overview by monitoring the IT infrastructure. If something goes wrong, you are there to help: you independently ensure that the incident is resolved quickly but also properly and ideally does not occur again. So you can make thousands of customers happy in one go.

If you can't do it on your own, you have a number of teams of specialists in the background you can contact and forward the case to. Together, you are sure to find a solution.

Last but not least, you will also play an active role in the change and service management processes and help to continuously improve our infrastructure.

What convinces us:
Your personality, paired with: 
• Completed training in IT system electronics, IT system integration or several years of experience in server technology in data centers with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Willingness to work a shift system with continuous 24-hour staffing and a good physical condition, as carrying or lifting equipment and components is regularly on the schedule.
• Enthusiasm for electrical engineering and information technology and a hands-on work mentality that enables you to take on responsibility without losing sight of the details.
• Technical understanding and manual dexterity to be able to act confidently even in challenging situations.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication skills to work effectively with your colleagues.
• Very good written and verbal skills in English, nice to have: French or German.
