Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and talented Senior Developer for a challenging role in support of Private Real Estate & Alternative Investments, specializing in the implementation of Data Warehousing and Oracle Business Intelligence within a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead complex/major efforts involving the requirements analysis, design, development, and testing of computer programs and/or application components.

• Recommends solutions and/or leverage technology capabilities that are aligned with business/IT strategies and complies with corporate architectural standards.

• Hands on development, capable of debugging the system and fixing the production related issues. Ability to resolve complex application and technical problems.

• Performs software architecture and systems design.

• Strong ability to analyze functional needs that drive the analysis and technical design of quality technical solutions.

• Handles complex operational tasks and recommends processing and technology changes.

• Ability to lead technical project teams.

• Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies; Provides mentoring and training to more junior staff.

• May serve as departmental liaison to interdepartmental or interdivisional project initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of eight years of experience developing applications including prior work for a financial services firm

• 5+ years of relevant experience in designing, developing and implementing solutions using ETL and BI tools

• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing concepts (both Kimball and Inmon approaches)

• 5+ years of experience in data modelling including star schema and relational using Kimball/Inmon approach.

• 5+ years of hands on experience with one or more Business Intelligence tools such as OBIEE, Microsoft BI, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Cognos, etc. Experience with OBIEE is a big plus

• Working experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases

• Experience with Microsoft BI platform and languages (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, T-SQL, MDX, DAX, etc.) would be a plus

• Good understanding of the JAVA/J2EE or knowledge of the commercial mortgage domain is a big plus

• B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
