Data Annotation Specialist

Role Overview

As a Data Annotation Specialist, you will bridge the gap between raw spatial data and high-performing AI. You will be responsible for high-precision labeling of 3D retail environments and 4K video feeds captured by our SmartBadge™ technology. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong technical knowledge of digital imagery, and proficiency with advanced annotation platforms to build the "ground truth" that powers our spatial AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Expert Annotation: Perform complex 2D and 3D annotations (bounding boxes, polygons, and masks) using Encord Annotate or an equivalent tool.

• Digital Image Processing: Apply image-quality best practices and maintain frame-by-frame consistency to ensure data integrity across varied retail video environments.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous audits and multi-level quality checks to maintain a "Gold Standard" for our computer vision datasets.

• Collaborative Feedback: Partner with Computer Vision and Data Operations teams to refine annotation guidelines to train and review other annotators’ work.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Required Experience: 1 year or more in data annotation and Quality Assurance (QA).

• Track Record: A proven track record of delivering high-quality data used to train and ship CV models with high precision and recall that generalize in the real world.

• Technical Tooling: Direct experience with Encord or equivalent enterprise platforms (e.g., CVAT, Labelbox, or SuperAnnotate).

• Attention to Detail: An exceptional ability to spot details across large video datasets.

• Time Management: Proven ability to manage a high-volume remote workload independently while meeting strict deadlines.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to clearly document issues and collaborate with a global team.

The salary range for this role is $45,000 USD - $65,000 USD +equity
