The mission of our Risk & Compliance team is to protect our 600,000+ customers while supporting our teams in making banking operations more efficient and secure.

Join us as a Data Analytics Intern and help build the technical foundation that protects our 600,000+ customers. You will work closely with Gauthier, our Head of Risk Analytics, to deploy innovative data solutions and AI initiatives that make our banking operations more secure and efficient.

👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As a Data Analytics Intern (Risk & Compliance) at Qonto, you will

• Create SQL queries and data extracts using Snowflake and Metabase to support internal control processes and help validate that internal procedures are properly aligned
• Analyze data and create visualizations through charts and dashboards to help risk & compliance teams make informed decisions
• Maintain and improve existing tools shared with risk and compliance teams, including frameworks hosted in Google Sheets/Google App Script
• Communicate proactively with stakeholders, scheduling appointments to understand requirements and ensure accurate data delivery
• Support investigation processes by providing data for Suspicious Transaction Reports and Enhanced Investigation frameworks

🤝 About your future manager

Your manager will be Gauthier Marquand, our Head of Risk Analytics & Model Governance.

• His path? Gauthier has a highly specialized background in quantitative risk. Before joining Qonto, he built his expertise at major traditional banking institutions, working as a Quantitative Model Risk Analyst at BNP Paribas and a Quantitative Risk Model Auditor at Société Générale. He joined Qonto in 2021 as a Quantitative Risk Expert and has successfully grown within the company, now leading both the Quantitative Risk and Risk & Compliance Engineering teams.

• What he can bring to the team? For this specific Data and Engineering role, Gauthier provides the perfect bridge between deep financial risk expertise and technical innovation. Because he oversees the data tools, reporting dashboards, and upcoming AI initiatives that power the entire Risk & Compliance department, he can offer you a clear strategic vision. He will help you understand the crucial business impact of your technical developments, showing you how your code and data models directly support Qonto's regulatory and operational success in a fast-paced environment.

🏅 About You

• Technical Foundation: Proficient in SQL (sub-queries are mandatory, window functions are a plus) and Python programming
• Education: Currently pursuing a Master's degree (preferably at M2 level)
• Experience: Previous internship experience is a plus, preferably in data analysis or engineering
• Learning Mindset: Eager to learn about fintech and banking compliance, Interest in data analysis and visualization
• Communication: Open-minded with strong communication skills and proactive approach to stakeholder interaction
• Languages: Professional fluency in English. French is a plus.
