Cybersecurity Internship (Exclusive for ITU SGMYO Students)

Lostar Information Security Inc. has been providing consulting, training, and auditing services in the fields of information security, IT governance, and business continuity since 1998.

Serving critical sectors such as energy, banking, telecommunications, and public institutions, Lostar specializes in penetration testing, application security, compliance consultancy (GDPR, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, etc.), and cybersecurity training.

With a strong focus on technical excellence and knowledge sharing, Lostar actively collaborates with universities to support the development of future cybersecurity professionals.

This position is part of a special internship cooperation program between Lostar Information Security and Istanbul Technical University (ITU) SGMYO.

Selected interns will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity under the guidance of experienced security professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting cybersecurity consulting and technical teams in daily activities

• Assisting with security assessments, documentation, and reporting tasks

• Participating in internal training sessions and technical workshops

• Conducting research on cybersecurity technologies, tools, and methodologies

• Gaining exposure to real-world security projects and client environments

This internship is designed to provide students with practical insight into professional cybersecurity operations and to help them build a strong foundation for their future careers.

 

• Currently enrolled as a student at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) – SGMYO

• Eligible for internship requirements defined by the university

• Basic knowledge or strong interest in cybersecurity, information security, or IT systems

• Willingness to learn, research, and develop technical skills

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

• Basic proficiency in English (reading technical documentation)

• This internship is offered within the scope of a formal cooperation program with ITU SGMYO

• Work model is hybrid, with approximately 80% remote work

• Occasional in-office presence may be required in Istanbul

• Internship duration and schedule will be aligned with university requirements
