Work Location: Remote with regular meetings at Ft. Belvoir, VA
Clearance Requirements: Active Top Secret Clearance
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Cloud SME to support secure architecture and compliance requirements for DoD cloud-hosted systems. This role will provide expert guidance in cloud security engineering, vulnerability assessments, and enterprise compliance support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure cloud-hosted systems are securely architected and meet DoD requirements.
Review cloud security policy and recommend improvements.
Provide expert guidance to program teams throughout cloud deployments and migrations.
Support deployment of programs and applications to ensure compliance requirements are met.
Provide guidance to assessment staff conducting cybersecurity vulnerability assessments in cloud environments.
Apply knowledge of emerging cloud security threats and advances in cloud security engineering.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must hold Active Top Secret Clearance
Minimum of Seven (7) years of experience securing and architecting complex IT systems
At least Five (5) years of experience in cloud environments (OCI, AWS, Azure)
Experience leading or significantly contributing to cloud security assessments, audits, or compliance reviews
Extensive knowledge of cloud security frameworks and standards (CIS Controls, NIST CSF, CSA CCM)
Must hold any of the Cloud certification (GCP, OCI, AWS, Azure, etc.)
Experience working with enterprise DoD IT
Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief government leadership and technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting FedRAMP-aligned cloud environments
Experience mentoring junior staff and providing technical leadership
