Role Summary
The Cybersecurity Analyst – Architecture & Engineering is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across our network, systems, and customerfacing platforms. This role works closely with Network, Systems, Development, and Operations teams to ensure a secure architecture for our ISP, hosting, and private cloud services.

Key Responsibilities
Secure Architecture & Design
Contribute to the design and review of secure architectures for network, servers, hosting/private cloud, and customer portals.
Provide security requirements and recommendations for new projects, services, and infrastructure changes.
Security Engineering & Hardening
Define and maintain secure configuration baselines (hardening) for operating systems, network devices, hypervisors, and key applications.
Implement, configure, and optimize security technologies (e.g., firewalls, VPN, EDR, WAF, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners).
Vulnerability Management (Technical Ownership)
Support the vulnerability management program: coordinate scans, validate findings, and work with system/network owners on remediation.
Propose technical solutions and configuration changes to reduce exposure on internetfacing and critical systems.
Network & Infrastructure Security
Support network segmentation between office, management, core network, and customer environments.
Review firewall rules, VPN configurations, and access controls to ensure leastprivilege and secure remote access.
Application Security / DevSecOps (Light)
Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the SDLC (SAST/DAST, dependency scanning, secure coding practices).
Review the security of customer portals and APIs, and support remediation of identified issues.
Support to Monitoring & Incident Response
Work with Security Operations to improve detection rules and logging coverage for critical systems.
Provide technical input during incident investigations and postincident hardening.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Document security architectures, standards, and implementation guides.
Stay up to date on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices relevant to telecom/ISP and hosting environments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5+ years of experience in information security, network/security engineering, or similar technical role.
Solid knowledge of network technologies: routing, switching, VPN, firewalls, VLANs, segmentation.
Experience with Linux, Mac and/or Windows server hardening and administration.
Experience with one or more: EDR, IDS/IPS, WAF, vulnerability scanners, SIEM.
Basic to intermediate experience with web/application security (e.g., OWASP Top 10, APIs, certificates, TLS, AI).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with network, systems, and development teams.
Good written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
Nice to Have
Experience in ISP, telecom, hosting, or data center environments.
Familiarity with virtualization / private cloud platforms.
Knowledge of ISO 27001 controls and best practices.
Certifications such as: Network+ / Security+ / CCNA / Fortinet NSE / GIAC / similar.
