Cyber Security Engineer – DLP (McAfee / M365)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer specializing in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies, with strong hands-on expertise in McAfee DLP and Microsoft 365 (Purview) DLP. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing enterprise DLP solutions to protect sensitive data across endpoints, networks, cloud services, and email platforms

Key Responsibilities

•
Design, implement, and manage enterprise DLP solutions using:

•
McAfee DLP (Endpoint, Network, Discover)

•
Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Purview DLP

•
Develop and maintain DLP policies, rules, and classification frameworks aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

•
Configure and manage data classification, labeling, and sensitivity labels in Microsoft 365.

•
Monitor DLP alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate remediation efforts.

•
Integrate DLP tools with:

•
Microsoft Defender

•
SIEM platforms (e.g., Sentinel, Splunk)

•
CASB / Defender for Cloud Apps

•
Perform data discovery and risk assessments across on-prem and cloud environments.

•
Support compliance initiatives (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).

•
Tune DLP policies to reduce false positives and optimize detection.

•
Conduct root cause analysis for data leakage incidents.

•
Create documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and playbooks.

•
Provide technical guidance and support to IT teams and end users.

•
Participate in security audits and vulnerability assessments

Required Skills & Experience

•
4+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering.

•
2+ years of hands-on experience with:

•
McAfee DLP Suite

•
Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Purview DLP

•
Strong understanding of:

•
Data classification & information protection

•
Email security (Exchange Online)

•
Endpoint security

•
Cloud security (SaaS environments)
