CWI Inspector - Short Term Contract

SGS is currently looking for a CWI Inspector for a 6 weeks contract in April 2026.  We are looking for a candidate who has a CWI and/or ASNT Level II (or higher) – VT, UT, MT certification.   The client is located in Nello, South Bend, Indiana.

Scope of work:

• Review Manufacturers quality inspection documentation
• Examine job travelers and inspection findings
• Evaluate Material test reports, WPS, and PQR
• Evaluate Repair procedures for adherence to specifications
• Provide evidence that repairs were properly made
• Document all quality issues
• Evaluate finished product including surface finish and coating to assure compliance with all applicable specifications
• Perform dimensional verification in accordance to relevant part drawings
• Witness NDT (VT, UT, and MT) in accordance with AWS D1.1 and project specifications
• Clearly mark any defective areas requiring rework, including description of defect
• Provide photographs
• Reinspect all repairs to ensure it meets specifications
• Random Spot checks of welders before, during, and after welding
• Inspector shall deliver weekly reports

• Duration – 6 weeks (6 days a week)
• CWI and/or ASNT Level II (or higher) – VT, UT, MT
• Experience with steel transmission poles would be an asset.
• Location – Nello (South Bend, Indiana)
• Contractor will be set up as a 1099.
