On-Call Requirement: Yes
• Approximately 10–15 on-call shifts per month
• 30-minute call-back radius required
Compensation & Incentives
• $34.85/hr (2 years experience)
• $38.28/hr (5 years experience)
• $42.86/hr (10 years experience)
• $49.06/hr (17+ years experience)
• On-Call Pay: $4.00/hour
• Call-Back Rate: Time and a half
• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Overview
A Level II Trauma acute care hospital in Central Florida is seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse to join a high-performing cardiovascular surgery team. This role supports open-heart and cardiovascular procedures while maintaining flexibility to assist in the general OR when cardiac cases are not scheduled.
This position is ideal for a CVOR RN who values teamwork, advanced technology, and consistent surgical exposure within a collaborative perioperative environment.
Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive preoperative patient assessments
• Prepare patients for cardiovascular surgical procedures, including IV therapy and pre-op medications
• Participate in surgical site verification, time-outs, briefings, and debriefings per policy
• Provide patient and family education regarding procedures and perioperative care
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and respond to emergencies as needed
• Deliver safe, evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary teams
• Document patient condition, care provided, and clinical changes accurately and timely
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to patient safety and surgical workflow
Required:
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care CVOR RN experience
• Active Florida RN license or multistate compact license (Florida license required within 60 days of relocation)
• Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree
• BLS certification (within 30 days of hire)
Required Within 6 Months of Hire:
• ACLS
• PALS or ENPC
